In his classic devotional book, My Utmost for His Highest, Oswald Chambers refers to what he calls “the ministry of the interior.” This ministry is the self work each person must do after receiving Christ in order to become more Christlike. It is the process of sanctification causing us to be conformed to the image of Christ from the inside out. Chambers describes it as a partnership between our inner selves and the Holy Spirit.
Are we ready to “launch out into the priestly work of prayer?” Chambers asks. "The goal is to be free from our Christian self-centered focus and embrace the “robust, simple life of the child of God.”1

You’ve probably heard your pastor declare that believers are to be “in the world but not of the world.” What does that phrase “in the world but not of the world” mean? The term “world” has a number of definitions: lost people on the planet (John 3:16), the planet itself (terra firma) (Romans 8:22), and the Satanic value system embraced by the lost (1 John 2:15-17). The first part of the phrase, “in the world,” means believers swim in the same water as the unsaved. Until we go home to Jesus, we are pilgrims and aliens on earth. We are just passing through. Are you a snarky person? What’s a snarky person? A snarky person is one who gives a sarcastic, cutting, or biting response to questions or makes critical, cutting remarks about someone or something. Yes, snarky is a real word. According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, “Some have questioned whether snarky is a real word. There can be no doubt that it is; the adjective has been recorded in English since 1906. Its original meaning, “crotchety, snappish,” has largely been overtaken, however, by the far more frequently-encountered sense “sarcastic, impertinent or irreverent.”
